October exports slip 7.8 pct to MOP764 mln

The value of Macau’s merchandise exports fell to MOP764 million (about US$95.5 million) last month, 7.8 per cent less than a year earlier, official data indicate.

The Statistics and Census Service says the value of domestic exports fell by 21.4 per cent to MOP137 million and that of re-exports fell by 4.2 per cent to MOP628 million.

The value of merchandise imports fell by 4.8 per cent to MOP7.64 billion, meaning the trade deficit last month was MOP6.88 billion.
