GOVT HINTS AT RENEWAL OF CHINESE LOTTERY CONTRACT

The government has announced that Gonçalo Jorge Cabral Lourenço da Silva will remain its representative at Chinese lottery operator Sociedade de Lotarias Wing Hing Lda for another year, beginning last October 25.

Wing Hing’s concession to run Chinese lotteries is due to expire on December 31, and the government has yet to announce whether it will be extended.

The company has been running Chinese lotteries since 2010 under year-long contracts that the government has so far renewed every year.
