The government stepped up its measures to fight against H7N9 over the weekend, including the installation of thermal infrared detectors at the Macau International Airport to measure the body temperature of passengers arriving from the mainland’s eastern provinces.

The Health Bureau also said it has stockpiled enough medicine to treat more than a third of the population.

So far, Macau has not registered any case of the H7N9 flu virus.

Casino sources told our sister publication Business Daily that the government is yet to call on the operators to enact special measures regarding the H7N9 outbreak.
