Wynn Resorts boss says Wynn Palace to open on time

Wynn Resorts Ltd chairman and chief executive Steve Wynn has said construction of his company’s new casino-resort, the Wynn Palace, is within budget and on schedule.

The US$4 billion (MOP32 billion) development in Cotai is due to open in 2016.

“We are about 18 months out, and still feeling we will make Chinese New Year of 2016,” Mr Wynn said.

The Wynn Palace will allow the casino operator to double the number of gaming tables it has in Macau and to increase the number of hotel rooms it has here by 170 percent.
