Tourist walking trails ready to open Friday

The Macau Government Tourist Office will open four walking trails for tourists on Friday.

The trails are designed to encourage tourists to explore lesser-known parts of the city and alleviate pressure on popular destinations.

The trails are: “A Tour of Historical Trails” from Avenida da Praia Grande to Praça de Ponte e Horta, “A Tour of Nature and Creativity” from the Kun Iam Temple to St Lazarus Church, “A Tour of East Meets West” from Senado Square to the Maritime Museum and “A Tour of Arts and Culture” from Macau Fisherman’s Wharf to the A-Ma Temple.

The walks will be advertised and the tourist office says it will launch a smartphone app showing the routes.
