Three more hotel projects in the pipeline

In the first quarter of this year, there were 28 hotel projects being assessed by the Land, Public Works and Transport Bureau, three more than at the end of 2012.
Three new hotels planned for Taipa, Cotai and Coloane could provide just 600 rooms, the bureau said in a statement yesterday.
There are a further 10 hotels being built, eight of which are on the Macau peninsula and two are in Cotai.
If all these 38 hotels open their doors, they will add a further 23,000 rooms to the territory.
