Six percent increase in Golden Week visitors

The amount of tourists entering Macau via different ports during the Golden Week reached 901,176, a 6.16 per cent increase compared to the same period last year, according to the Public Security Police (PSP). Figures show that the number of arrivals peaked on October 2, when 203,447 people entered Macau. The amount remained at around 195,000 between October 3 and 6, and dropped to 163,858 on October 7. The number of departures reached 204,931 on October 4. That number only dipped below 200,000 on October 7. The Border Gate is again the most popular port, with more than 2 million people both entering and exiting Macau through it.
