Sands follows the rules on croupiers, says Leven

Sands China Ltd will “follow the rules directly” and continue to employ permanent residents as dealers.

Las Vegas Sands Corp president Michael Leven made the comments during a quarterly earnings call, our sister publication Business Daily reports.

He told analysts the company had no intention of trying to lobby to change the rules.

Las Vegas Sands is the biggest shareholder in Sands China Ltd.

Mr Leven told a seminar last month the informal arrangement to hire local croupiers would limit “the availability of people unless the government rules are changed”.
