Sales of homes fall by one-quarter to 741 in May

The number of homes sold in Macau fell to 741 in May from 998 the month before, official data show.

The Financial Services Bureau says the average price of housing fell to MOP105,260 (US$13,186) a square metre from MOP131,589.

Residential space on Coloane was the most expensive, costing MOP128,134 a square metre, on average.

Housing cost an average of MOP103,837 a square metre on the peninsula and MOP101,424 a square metre on Taipa.
