Rents for upmarket homes seventh-highest in Asia

The average rent for an upmarket, three-bedroom home in Macau is MOP35,356 (US$4,426) a month, our sister publication Business Daily reports.

The newspaper quotes human resources management consultants ECA International as saying the average rent for such a home in Macau is the seventh-highest in Asia.

ECA International said its sample of housing in Macau was too small for the city to be included in the report on its latest survey of accommodation.

The survey found that an upmarket, three-bedroom, unfurnished home in Hong Kong is still the most expensive in the world to rent, costing US$11,444 a month, on average.
