The industrial exports survey for the third quarter of last year found 24.9 percent of enterprises were optimistic about domestic merchandise exports in the subsequent six months.

Macau Economic Services said the proportion was 3.2 percentage points lower than in the second quarter.

The survey found 35.7 percent of enterprises were pessimistic about exports, 7.9 percentage points more than three months before.

It found 39.4 percent expected exports to be the same as before, 4.7 percentage points fewer than three months before.

Macau Economic Services said the findings showed that manufacturers were generally cautious about the outlook for exports.
