Office prices shoot up by 23 pct in three months

The average cost of buying an office shot up by 23.3 percent in the third quarter, data released by the Statistics and Census Service show.

The average transaction price per square metre was MOP79,592 (US$9,949), a new record. In the second quarter the average price was MOP64,544 a square metre.

The city’s most expensive offices were in the NAPE and Praia Grande Bay reclamation areas, with an average price of MOP86,270 a square metre.

A new record was also set for industrial space: MOP34,637 a square metre, 1.2 percent more than in the second quarter.
