MGM Macau will increase the salaries of all non-management team members and give them a Chinese New Year bonus payout.
The company said in a statement the increment of 5 percent takes into account the effort and loyalty of the team as well as the higher costs of living in Macau.
However, the statement doesnt say when these will take place or how much the bonus payout will be.
In November, chief executive Fernando Chui Sai On urged employers to raise the salaries of locals to allow them to catch up with the economic developments.
In the statement, MGM China Holdings Ltd. chief executive officer Grant Bowie said his company is committed to providing competitive level of benefits and compensation to team members.
Last month, SJM Holdings Ltd. announced all its workers would be getting a pay rise of between five and 10 percent this year.
