  • 2025-01-14

MSS Recruitment and hello-jobs.com launched “2025 MSS & Hello Jobs Macau Salary Increment and Annual Bonus Survey” in November 2024, a record high of 93 companies participated in the survey. The results show the average planned salary increment of surveyed organisations is +2.72%, the planned increment is 0.26% lower vs. 2024 (+2.98%). The average planned bonus of surveyed organisations for FY2024 is 1.01 months, it decreased 0.17 months vs FY2023 (1.18 months). Our detailed survey report provides data on planned salary increment and annual bonus segmented by organization size, industry, and position level (available only to participating organisations).

Referring to overall salary adjustment, 83.87% of the surveyed organisations plan to give raises, a decrease from 89.33% last year. Meanwhile, 16.13% of the surveyed organisations indicated no plans to increase salaries, an increase from 10.67% in 2024.

Referring to overall annual bonus payout, 90.32% of the surveyed organisations intend to give bonus for FY2024 performance, an increase from 88% last year. On the other hand, 9.68% of the surveyed organisations stated that they have no plan to give bonus based on 2024 performance, a decrease from 12% over FY2023.

“The survey results show that planned salary increment by organisations for 2025 is slightly lower than planned salary increment by organisations for 2024 as per the survey conducted a year ago, indicating a slightly cautious outlook towards the economy for 2025. Similarly, the planned annual bonus by organisations for FY2024 is also slightly lower than planned annual bonus by organisations for FY2023 as per the survey conducted a year ago, reflecting that the actual performance of many organisations in 2024 was slightly below expectations. MSS looks forward to an even better 2025 for both employers and employees, embracing new challenges and opportunities together!” Said Jiji Tu, Executive Director of MSS Recruitment and hello-jobs.com.
