The ban on smoking on casino gaming floors will do little to curb gaming revenue in Macau, Bank of America Merrill Lynch predicts.
The investment bank forecasts that the ban will reduce revenue by less than 1 percent when it comes into force in October.
Smoking will be allowed in smoking rooms that have no gaming facilities.
Merrill Lynch says it is still forecasting that gross gaming revenue will grow by 15.1 percent this year and 10.4 percent next year.
