May casino revenues hit MOP29.6 billion: Official

Macau casinos took in MOP29.6 billion (US$3.7 billion) last month, official figures released today by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau show.

This is an increase of 13.5 percent over the same period last year.

May was Macau’s second best ever, second only to March this year, when the city’s casino industry reported gross gaming revenue of MOP31.3 billion.

So far this year, accumulated gross gaming revenue has reached MOP143.2 billion, a 14.2 percent increase over the first five months of 2012.
