Macau’s intl tourism receipts world’s 5th-biggest

The UN World Tourism Organisation says the number of international tourists in the first four months of this year was 5 percent higher than a year earlier.

The organisation says that among the world’s economies, Macau had the fifth-biggest receipts from international tourism in the first four months and Hong Kong had the 10th-biggest.

It says the prospects for the peak season for international tourism, from May to August, are “positive” this year.
