Macau people coping with inflation, study finds

Macau’s people have coped with consumer price inflation in the past few years, but people feel that they have coped only at the cost of a decline in their standard of living, a study has found.

The results of the study, by the Macau Economic Association show people’s buying power was maintained from 2000 to 2013, as incomes kept pace with inflation.

But the study report says people wrongly think increases in their incomes have failed to keep up with increases in prices.
