Casino operator Macau Legend Development Ltd says the government is allowing it to have 35 more gaming tables.

Macau Legend said so in a disclosure to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

But Secretary for the Economy and Finance Francis Tam Pak Yuen said the government was still considering the company’s request for more tables.

Macau Legend operates the Pharaoh’s Palace Casino in the Landmark Hotel and the Babylon Casino in Macau Fisherman’s Wharf.

The company is hoping to have more tables in Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, so increasing the number of tables it has to 500 eventually from 150 at the end of last month.
