Macau Campus Joint Recruitment Event 2012 Press Release

The University of Macau Alumni Association and leading Macau online job site and top recruitment firm hello-jobs.com and MSS Recruitment have joined forces to present a ground-breaking event – the First Annual Macau Campus Joint Recruitment Event for graduating students. The event aims to help graduating student’s access up-to-date information on Macau’s job market so they can find the best possible jobs to pursue their chosen career paths and at the same time to create an effective platform for connecting local employers and job seekers.

Organizers of the event are fully supported by the Macao Foundation and have invited students unions from the University of Macau, Macao Polytechnic Institute, Institute for Tourism Studies, Macau University of Science and Technology, University of Saint Joseph and Macau Institute of Management to be co-organizers of the event.

The event will open with a ceremony at 3 pm, April 3, 2012 at the STDM Auditorium, University of Macau Library. The Macau Campus Joint Recruitment Event 2012 will comprise an online recruitment fair, Macau corporate hiring listing for recent graduates 2012, a young leadership training camp, company visits, exhibition of achievements, an online summary and other events. We believe these can serve to create a mutually beneficial relationship between corporate management and graduating students. In addition, graduating students will find the latest information on Macau jobs and the local market at the Fair.

A new booklet, Macau’s first Corporate Hiring Listing for Recent Graduates 2012 will be delivered to every graduating student through their student unions. Graduating students can find information on jobs, interview tips and news about industry trends in this publication.

Running concurrently with the event, we have also developed an online recruitment fair (hello-jobs.com/Campus2012), the first job site to be fully supported by six co-organizers. By registering for free as a member, students can upload their CVs and apply for jobs online. Students can access this 24-hour online platform anywhere, and can reach all local industries to pursue their careers.

A Young Leadership Training Camp will be held on April 15 at the Hong Kong Outdoor Adventure training center. We cordially welcome all graduating students to join the camp. The program provides training in leadership skills, teamwork, entrepreneurship, self identify, and interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, this unique leadership training camp gives corporate managers a chance to identify potential job candidates while trainees can meet potential employers.

The company visit program lets corporations introduce their culture and procedures and allow interaction between companies and students.
