Macau banks set new profit record last year

The combined annual operating profit of Macau’s banks set a new record last year, reaching MOP8.44 billion (US$1.06 billion).
That represents an increase of 34.2 percent over 2012, according to data from the Monetary Authority of Macau.
The bank’s annual operating profits that year were MOP6.29 billion, also a record.
