Lisboa Palace to have a Karl Lagerfeld hotel

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld will lend his name and creative talents to the third hotel tower in SJM Holdings Ltd’s Lisboa Palace casino-resort in Cotai.

SJM Holdings says Mr Lagerfeld signed an agreement to this effect in Paris on Wednesday.

The hotel will have up to 270 rooms or suites in its own 20-storey tower.

SJM Holdings says the hotel will be the first “fully designed” by Mr Lagerfeld.

The company expects the hotel to open in 2017.

In September SJM announced that Milan fashion house Gianni Versace SpA was lending its brand name to one of the other hotel towers in the Lisboa Palace.
