Labour Day weekend hotel bookings sparser in 2015

Macau’s hotels are less heavily booked for the Labour Day long weekend this year than last year, Business Daily reports.

The newspaper quotes Macau Hoteliers and Innkeepers Association president Chan Chi Kit as saying fewer package tourists from the mainland means fewer rooms reserved in three-star hotels.

Business Daily quotes Macau Travel Industry Council president Andy Wu Keng Kuong as saying he expects fewer mainlanders to visit, but that the number of visitors from all sources will be about the same as last year.

The three days of holidays begin tomorrow, Labour Day.
