Jan and Feb trade across the border grows 44 pct

Merchandise trade between Macau and the mainland was worth US$680 million (about MOP5.43 billion) in the first two months of this year, 44 percent more than a year earlier, official data indicate.

The Ministry of Commerce says the value of the mainland’s exports to Macau grew by nearly 47 per cent to US$640 million.

The value of the city’s exports to the mainland grew by 11.6 per cent to US$40 million.

The mainland is Macau’s biggest trading partner.
