INDUSTRIAL ZONE BORDER TO BE OPEN LONGER FOR SOME

The central government will allow Macau people and mainlanders working in Macau to cross the border in the Zhuhai-Macau Cross-Border Industrial Zone at any hour of the day, the mainland’s General Administration of Customs says.

At present, the border crossing there is closed between midnight and 7:00am to all but owners and employees of businesses in the zone.

The customs administration did not say when the authorities would begin allowing Macau people and mainlanders working in Macau to begin using the crossing around the clock.
