The government has finally announced the income ceiling for those eligible to buy a government-subsidised residential unit, after having reviewed relevant legislation in 2011.

The figures were published in today’s official gazette.

A one-member household must have monthly earnings of between MOP7,820 (US$977.5) and MOP22,240 to be eligible to buy a government-subsidised residential unit.

It can not own liquid assets above MOP672,168.

Households with two or more members must earn between MOP12,210 and MOP44,479 to be eligible, and have liquid assets not above MOP1.34 million.

The government also announced today the minimum and maximum prices for the government-subsidised one-room housing units for sale at the Seac Pai Van public housing estate.

Prices range from MOP524,400 to MOP701,800.
