Importance of electronic gaming growing in Macau

Electronic gaming is making a growing contribution to the revenue of Macau’s casinos, Union Gaming Research says.

A note by the research house says electronic gaming revenue made up 5.7 per cent of the city’s MOP18.62 billion (about US$2.33 billion) in casino gross gaming revenue in August, the highest proportion yet.

The increase in the proportion of revenue from electronic gaming is due in part to the decrease in revenue from table games.
