Housing price recovery continues in September

The average price of housing increased to MOP75,149 (US$9,394) a square metre in September, 11.5 percent more than in August, rising for the second month in a row, the Financial Services Bureau says.

The number of homes sold was 599 in September, rebounding from a six-month fall. In August 534 were sold, the fewest for 18 months.

The number of homes sold fell steeply after new rules on pre-sales of unfinished flats came into force in June.
