Hotels with 16,600 rooms under construction in Q4

In the fourth quarter of last year 25 hotels designed to contain 16,600 rooms were under construction in Macau, official data show.

The Bureau of Land, Public Works and Transport says nine of the hotels, together due to have 13,900 rooms, will belong to new or expanded casino-resorts in Cotai.

Eleven hotels set to contain over 1,300 rooms were being built on the peninsula, three hotels containing about 1,000 rooms were being built on Taipa and one hotel with 200 rooms was under construction on Coloane.
