Govt to scrutinise gaming more closely, Chui says

The government will supervise Macau’s gaming industry more closely, but not too closely, Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On has said.

Mr Chui said in his Policy Address for 2015:

“The Macau government’s supervision of the gaming industry is not excessive. Nor will it be excessive in future.”

He said the forthcoming review of gaming concessions would look at what each concessionaire had to offer tourists other than gaming, how many jobs it sustained and the degree of career advancement it offered Macau people it employed.
