Govt to raise cost of using its car parks in Q4

The government will “substantially” increase parking charges in the fourth quarter of this year, Transport Bureau director Lam Hin San has said.

Mr Lam told reporters that the cost of a monthly pass giving access to public car parks would rise to a level “very close to market prices”.

At present a monthly pass for an unreserved parking slot costs MOP500 (about US$62.50) and a pass for a reserved parking slot costs MOP1,000.
