Govt to raise civil service pay 5.71 pct on May 1

The government will increase the pay of civil servants by 5.71 percent on Thursday.
This means the value of each point in the civil service pay scale will rise to MOP74 (US$9.27) from MOP70.
The government will increase civil service pensions proportionately.
