Govt taking applications for MICE training subsidy

The government has begun taking applications for a new subsidy for vocational training for work in the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions industry.

Macau Economic Services says the government will pay private institutions of tertiary education, company training centres and not-for-profit associations up to MOP600,000 (US$75,125) for short courses meant to train people to work in the industry.

The government will also pay up to MOP30,000 a year each for MICE workers to obtain vocational qualifications.
