Govt gets 636 more opinions on height of new hotel

The government has received 636 new written expressions of opinion on the height of the Legendale Hotel in Macau Fisherman’s Wharf, Business Daily reports, quoting an official.

The newspaper says several opinions in favour of making the hotel a tall building appear to be uniform in style and content.

Macau Legend Development Ltd, the Macau Fisherman’s Wharf developer, is pressing to be allowed to build a hotel 90 metres tall.

Business Daily quotes Public Works and Transport Bureau official Lao Iong as saying the government and the Urban Planning Committee will consider the latest opinions received from the public.
