Gaming trade unions insist on casino smoking ban

The gaming trade unions are insisting that the government ban smoking in casinos, according to the chairman of the Legislative Assembly committee considering changes in the law on smoking, Chan Chak Mo.

Mr Chan was speaking after meeting representatives of four gaming trade unions, including Forefront of Macau Gaming and the Macau Gaming Enterprises Staff Association.

The director-general of the Macau Gaming Enterprises Staff Association, Choi Kam Fu, said after the meeting that the casinos failed to give priority to the health of their employees.
