JL Warren Capital LLC has increased its forecast of the annual contraction in gross gaming revenue in Macau’s casinos next year to between 8 percent and 11 percent.

The research house says it assumes that gaming revenue will average between MOP820 million (US$102.7 million) and MOP850 million a day next year, except in February, when it assumes that the figure will be 40 percent higher because of the Lunar New Year holidays, and in October, when it assumes that the figure will be 20 percent higher because of the National Day holidays.

It forecasts that gaming revenue will average MOP810 million a day this month.
