Galaxy Macau Phase II table quota up in the air

The government is still considering how many gaming tables it will allow in the second phase of the Galaxy Macau casino-resort in Cotai, Secretary for the Economy and Finance Lionel Leong Vai Tac has said.

The HK$19.6 billion (about US$2.5 billion) Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd development is due to open on May 27.

“We’re still studying their application and we’ve not come to a decision yet,” Mr Leong told reporters.

He declined to indicate how many tables the government might allow in the Galaxy Macau second phase, which has capacity for 500.
