First reading of casino smoking ban bill Thursday

The Legislative Assembly will discuss the government-backed bill to ban smoking in casinos its first reading tomorrow, according to the agenda on the assembly’s website.

The government has set no schedule for enacting the legislation in the draft bill.

At present, smoking is allowed in smoking rooms on mass gaming floors and in VIP gaming rooms in casinos.
