Estate agent denies ulterior motive in home loans

Mcore Properties Investment Ltd’s chairman, Melvin Leung Ming Fai, has denied that the estate agency’s new home loan scheme for employees that wish to buy flats in Macau is meant to stoke the housing market, Business Daily reports.

“We really didn’t think that our scheme would trigger much debate,” the newspaper quotes Mr Leung as saying in an interview.

He rejected any contention that the scheme was meant to drum up business for his agency.

“We really want to help our employees who are hoping to buy their first home,” Mr Leung said.
