Emperor Entertainment Hotel net profit drops

The annual net profit of Emperor Entertainment Hotel Ltd, which runs Macau’s Grand Emperor casino-hotel, fell by nearly 16 per cent to HK$504.3 million (about US$64.65 million) in its financial year ended March 31.

Emperor Entertainment Hotel told the Hong Kong Stock Exchange that its revenue had been HK$2.03 billion.

Revenue from gaming fell by 15.6 per cent to about HK$1.73 billion, 58.7 per cent of it from the mass market.

Revenue from VIP gaming and slot machines grew, but revenue from mass- market gaming shrank.

The casino-hotel had 10 VIP gaming tables, 67 mass-market tables and 200 slot machine seats during the year.
