Dragon Boat Festival visitors increase 17.9 pct

Macau had 419,120 visitors over the Dragon Boat Festival long weekend, 17.9 percent more than in the equivalent period last year, official figures show.

The police say travellers crossed the border 1.29 million times between Saturday and Monday, 632,488 of them entering the city and 654,092 leaving.

The Border Gate was the busiest crossing, and next-busiest points of entry and exit were the Outer Harbour ferry terminal, the Taipa temporary ferry terminal and the airport.
