SpiceJet Airlines Ltd is on the verge of beginning flights between New Delhi and Macau, our sister publication Business Daily reports.

India’s Directorate-General of Civil Aviation approved SpiceJet’s request to open the route one year after the low-cost airline first applied.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Macau is now expected to approve the airline’s application.

The first flight could be as soon as the end of March.

Meanwhile, services to Zhengzhou, the provincial capital of Henan, are due to begin in three weeks.
