Deutsche Bank’s gloom about Macau gaming deepens

Deutsche Bank says it now thinks gross gaming revenue in Macau’s casinos this year will be even lower than it thought before.

The investment bank says in a note that it has increased its forecast of the annual decline in gaming revenue to 28.5 per cent from 25.9 per cent, after seeing the revenue figure for last month.

It now forecasts revenue of US$31.4 billion (about MOP250.8 billion) instead of US$32.5 billion.

The bank blames the predicted fall mainly on the slump in VIP gaming.
