Cost of office space keeps climbing in 2013

The average price for office space has increased by about three-fifths in the past year, according to Statistics and Census Service data.

Office space cost an average of MOP74,525 (US$9,316) a square metre last year, 61 percent more than in 2012.

The average price of industrial space was MOP33,721 a square metre last year, a 62-percent increase.

In the fourth quarter, the average price of office space rose to MOP92,644 – 16 percent higher than in the third quarter – and the average price of industrial space rose to MOP38,191, or 10 percent more.
