Chui calls for more casino managers from Macau

Casinos should give Macau residents the chance to become managers, Chief Executive Fernando Chui Sai On told the Legislative Assembly.

Our sister publication Business Daily reports Mr Chui was asked whether the casino resorts due to open in 2015 and 2016 would have more attractions other than gaming.

He replied it was also important to have residents in the management of these companies.

“We hope the enterprises will give the residents chances to let them improve their status,” he said.

Mr Chui said it was important to make the economy more diverse, but “gaming will still play a very prominent role”.
