Casino workers will march from Tap Seac Square to government headquarters on Sunday to voice their demand for the government to restrict any growth in gaming tables, our sister publication Business Daily reports.
The Forefront of Macau Gaming trade union says the march is the start of an industrial campaign to press the government to disclose the number of new gaming tables it will permit in the casino-resorts under development in Cotai.
The union is opposed to expansion of the casino industry because it is against migrant workers being employed as croupiers.
Forefront of Macau Gaming president Ieong Man Teng said the union estimated that the Cotai developments would have “thousands of new tables, requiring at least 20,000 croupiers and pit supervisors”.
