Broker says casino take below MOP1 bln a day

Average daily casino revenue fell below MOP1 billion (US$25.18 million) a day in the first six days of this month because of wet weather, Barron’s reports.

The magazine says Wells Fargo estimates that average daily casino revenue was between MOP900 million and MOP950 million, between 17 percent and 21 percent less than last month’s average daily take.

Casino revenue in the second quarter will be about 14.2 percent higher than a year earlier, according to Wells Fargo.

First-quarter revenue was 19.8 percent.
