Forty business groups have voiced their opposition to enshrining in law the government bans on migrant labour working here as croupiers or drivers.

David Chow Kam Fai of the Federal General Commercial Association of Macau Small and Medium Enterprises told a press conference called by the business groups that the government should revoke all restrictions on migrant labour.

Several labour groups, including the Macau Federation of Trade Unions, have urged the government to give its bans on migrant labour working here as croupiers or drivers the force of law.
