Average price of housing rises 5 pct in December

The average price of housing in Macau increased by 5 per cent in December to MOP96,411 (US$12,072) per square metre, the Financial Services Bureau says.

The bureau’s data show the average price of uncompleted housing was MOP145,444 per square metre and that of completed housing was MOP83,037.

Homes on Coloane were again the most expensive, those on Taipa the next-dearest and those on the peninsula the cheapest.

The number of homes sold fell to 418, or 12 per cent fewer than in November.
