Average price of housing drops 5 pct in October

The average price of housing fell by 5 percent in October to MOP79,344 (about US$9,918) per square metre, the Financial Services Bureau says.

October’s average was 25.3 percent lower than a year earlier.

The bureau’s data indicate that 383 homes were sold during the month, 9 percent fewer than a year earlier.

Average prices fell in most parts of the peninsula and Taipa.
